What is a Shichon? A Shichon is a cross between a Shih Tzu & a Bichon. I would describe the Shih Tzu a bit independent and has no need to be with you at all times. The Shih Tzu is happy sleeping at the end of your bed where the Bichon is not happy until he is sleeping on your pillow. I describe a Bichon as a real ?in your face dog?. Some people like that the Bichon has to always be on your lap or right next to you, some people don?t like it. When you mix the independent not in your face Shih Tzu with the very in your face Bichon you have a perfect mix. Some people like the Bichon personality but do not care for the all-white coat, which makes the Shichon the perfect little dog for them. This breed is not recognized by AKC so they are not registered. These puppies are extremely popular so if you are interested I encourage you to get the application filled out as it has not been unheard of for a litter of Shichon?s to be sold on the first day of advertising
Puppies are shades of brown & tan. As an adult your dog will weigh 10-16 pounds. Puppies are $600. I am a small breeder with the most awesome Bichon?s in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My daughter breeds the Shichon?s while I closely observe. She has 2 females Sophie & Kali and uses my amazing stud Jacob who has many championships in his pedigree. My dogs are my pets first. I only breed them because I love to share them with other people that have a little something missing in their life. If you are interested please send me an email. All puppies are well socialized. Whelping pen is right in the living room and puppies are a part of the family from birth. They are handled frequently and socialized with several Bichon?s & a couple Shih Tzu?s & 2- 5 pound Maltese and a 2 year old toddler. When you take your puppy home he/she will not be afraid of other dogs, vacuum cleaners, people talking, TV, music or any other loud noise. They will be used to going in a car as my daughter takes them frequently to the Adult foster care home where she works. When the pups are about 3-4 weeks old they are moved to the ?play pen? where they have a lot more room to run & play. Also all my other dogs are then allowed to go in and visit & play with the puppies. I am very particular where my Shichon?s go when I sell them. I am a stay at home Bichon Mom, I put an incredible amount of time with these puppies. Finding them just the perfect home is my ultimate goal. I will ask that you fill out an application just so I can see if it will be a good fit for you & your family to have one of my Shichon puppies. I will also ask you to sign a contract stating that if for some reason you can?t afford or no longer want your Bichon/Shichon that you can bring him back to me no questions asked. It is extremely important to me that none of my dogs end up in a shelter somewhere. A copy of my application & the contract is available on my website. Please read carefully. Your puppy it will have gotten first shots and a health exam from my Veterinarian. I encourage frequent visits with your puppy so whenever you & your family would like to visit just give me a call. Many of the puppies I sell are out of town & visits are either few or none. In that case I do weekly updates with pictures through email with you. If you are serious in wanting a Shichon puppy I recommend you fill out the application and get it to me as soon as possible as I am working off a waiting list. When your puppy is born I will ask for a deposit of $300 with the remaining $300 due when you pick up your puppy.
